Company History

    The Art Reference Gallery was established in 1958. For the first 30 years, information about artists and their selling prices was accumulated and catalogued into a file bank of over 5 million listings; the largest of its kind in the world.   From these archives, our company did accurate appraisals on art works.
     In 1989, the archives were donated to the Frick Museum and Art Reference Library in New York City. Since 1989, we have devoted ourselves to the sales of Fine Art. Each work of art we sell has been thoroughly researched and examined microscopically. Our sales conform to the terms of sale and the descriptive terminology used by the major auction . (Upon request, we will E-mail the details of these terms.)
     Our works are original in the true sense of the word, and the terms used to describe the medium are the terms used and accepted by the international auction houses.
